The Sales & Analytics page totals your App Store sales for the last 12 weeks. It reads Apple's weekly Sales and Trends summary reports with your API key and shows proceeds, units, a weekly bar chart and a per-app breakdown.
What you need#
- A connected team. See Add your first team.
- Your vendor number. In App Store Connect it's shown under Payments and Financial Reports.
- An API key whose role can read sales reports. Apple only serves Sales and Trends data to roles with access to reports, such as Admin or Finance. If your key was created with App Manager, the request may be refused, and you'd see the error in a Couldn’t load. banner. If that happens, create a key with a role that can see reports and add it under Settings ▸ Accounts.
Load your numbers#
- In the apps sidebar, click Sales & Analytics. It's under Team, or under each team's group if you've connected more than one team.
- Type your vendor number into the Vendor number (Payments and Financial Reports) field.
- Click Load 12 weeks.
Slipway requests one weekly report for each of the last 12 weeks. Apple keys each weekly report to the Sunday that ends the week. A week with no report counts as zero instead of failing the whole load. Slipway saves the vendor number for each API key, so it's filled in the next time you open the page.
What you see#
| Item | What it shows |
|---|---|
| Proceeds (12w) | Total developer proceeds over the 12 weeks, plus the change between the latest week and the week before (for example, "+12% this week") |
| Units (12w) | Total units over the 12 weeks |
| This week | Proceeds for the latest week |
| Avg / week | Average weekly proceeds |
| Weekly chart | One bar per week, labelled with the week-ending date. The latest week is highlighted. |
| BY APP | Each product title with its units and proceeds, sorted by proceeds |
How the numbers are calculated#
- Proceeds are what you earn after Apple's commission. Slipway multiplies each report row's Units by its Developer Proceeds.
- Rows are added up in each row's own currency, without conversion. If you sell in several currencies, the totals mix them, so treat them as a trend rather than an exact payout.
- Finance reports, which Apple publishes monthly, are the source of truth for payouts. Slipway doesn't download finance reports. For exact payout figures, use Payments and Financial Reports in App Store Connect.
Note — Despite the page name, Slipway currently reads only the weekly Sales summary report. It doesn't fetch App Analytics data (impressions, product-page conversion, retention) or the Subscription report.
Several teams#
Each team has its own Sales page, and each API key gets its own saved vendor number. When more than one team is connected, the toolbar shows the team's name next to the page title. To switch teams, click Sales & Analytics under a different team's group in the sidebar.
Troubleshooting#
- Load 12 weeks is greyed out. Enter a vendor number first.
- Every week shows $0. Check the vendor number. Also note that Apple only publishes a weekly report once the week has closed, so the most recent week can be empty.
- A "Couldn’t load." banner appears. Read the message in the banner. Permission errors usually mean the key's role can't read sales reports. For more help, see Troubleshooting.
