Release notes

Changelog

Release notes for each version of Slipway, the native Mac app for App Store Connect.

Each version's notes also appear in the in-app update prompt and on the GitHub release. To update, choose Slipway ▸ Check for Updates…. See Install and update.

  • Send Feedback opens Slipway's feedback board, where you can request features, report bugs and vote on what others asked for. Find it at the bottom of the sidebar or under Help ▸ Send Feedback…. Nothing is sent until you post; votes are kept under an anonymous identity.
  • New App moved from the toolbar's + to the sidebar, under All Apps. The toolbar's Ask AI button now appears only while the right pane is hidden; otherwise the pane's own Details / Ask AI switch is the one control, and it spins while a run is in progress.
  • The version tabs are a new pill with icons and a sliding highlight. On app pages such as Assets or In-App Purchases, nothing is lit and a ‹ Back button at the top left (also ⌘[) returns to the version tab you came from.
  • The Assets page is redrawn: the Product Page card shows the header and search-results slots as two matching drop zones that take dropped files; the page uses the whole window width, and the grid shows each asset's name, state and size with a badge for creative assets, and the filters sit on one line with the library count.
  • Header and Search Results: the Assets tab has App Store Connect's product-page header and search-results slots, per locale. Choose a creative asset from the library, or upload one straight into the slot and let Apple check it. The Screenshots inspector links there.
  • Precheck now looks at in-app purchases and subscriptions. A product in Missing Metadata blocks the app's first submission with purchases, and is a warning after that.
  • Submitting a version now sends every product that is Ready to Submit along with it, the way App Store Connect does. The confirmation sheet lists them under Also to review.
  • Errors from App Store Connect now read as plain sentences that say what went wrong and what to do, instead of Apple's codes and field paths.
  • Why? on every error toast asks your AI to explain the error and the next step (Pro, with your AI key).
  • The TestFlight page has a Before beta review checklist in the right pane: processing, export compliance, What to Test, review contact, demo account, and the review status.
  • Rejected review screenshots and promotional images now explain the problem in plain words, with the file's pixel size, and the Before Submitting checklist no longer ticks a rejected screenshot.
  • In-app purchase and subscription review screenshots and promotional images now wait for Apple to inspect the file. A rejected file (wrong size, alpha channel) shows Apple's message in Slipway instead of appearing uploaded and later as "Missing Metadata" in App Store Connect.
  • Localize no longer fails on a locale that already has an app-info localization, or when the AI returns an empty app name.

  • Ask AI now lives in the right pane, next to each page's details. Switch with the segmented control, the sparkles button in the toolbar, or ⌘K. The pane shows the whole conversation for the app, with Confirm and Skip inline, and Clear starts fresh.
  • Clicking a First Release Checklist step that lives on the Submit tab now scrolls to that section and rings it.
  • Precheck no longer reports "No build attached" for a build that is attached; the version request had left the build relationship out.
  • "What's New" is hidden and not pushed on an app's first version, which Apple refuses. The locale completeness dots skip it there too.
  • The demo-account warning respects "Sign-in required: off". The privacy item's button opens the confirmation directly.
  • Screenshot studio: drop finished screenshots from disk onto the empty canvas or the screens rail, or pick them with Add Screenshots…. They upload as they are, and sit on the device size their pixels match.
  • Screenshot studio: live screenshots can be imported any time from the inspector's new App Store Connect section, not only while a family is empty. Apps whose primary locale isn't en-US now find their live screenshots too. Replacing existing screens asks first.

  • Subscriptions is now a full editor. Create groups and subscriptions, rename and delete groups, and edit group localizations. Each subscription has Details, Locales, Pricing, Availability, Offers and Review tabs.
  • Set subscription prices in one base territory, with an option to keep current subscribers on their price, and schedule future prices.
  • Create introductory offers and free trials, promotional offers, offer codes with custom codes or one-time code batches saved as CSV, and win-back offers.
  • Set the app's billing grace period.
  • In-App Purchases is now a full editor. Create consumables, non-consumables and non-renewing subscriptions, then edit their details, locales, price, availability and review assets.
  • Promote in-app purchases and subscriptions on the App Store, and set their order.
  • Upload review screenshots and promotional images, write review notes, and submit purchases and subscriptions for review from Slipway.
  • Ask AI (Pro): a field at the bottom of every app page. Type an instruction and Slipway carries it out in App Store Connect, using your own AI provider and a model with tool calling.
  • Ask AI runs reads and creates straight away. Deleting, submitting, releasing, deactivating offer codes, removing territories, changing prices on submitted products and public review replies wait for Confirm.
  • Ask AI also works on the Apps screen, on the team account: users and invitations, certificates, profiles, devices, bundle IDs, Xcode Cloud workflows and runs, and alternative distribution. It can open an app for you.
  • Ask AI can send any App Store Connect API request when no built-in operation fits. Reads run straight away; every write waits for Confirm, as do invitations, app access, device and bundle ID registration and Xcode Cloud builds. It can also upload review screenshots and app screenshots through the standard Open panel.
  • New docs: In-App Purchases, Subscriptions and Ask AI.
